While we do believe that monitoring elections is a very important thing, it is unfortunate that ballot marking
is rampant. For those of you who are not familiar with ballot marking, it is a way to combine name orders and
text fonts on voting lists provided by political parties. At the end of the election day, the parties can know
quite accurately who voted for their za3eem and can then pay the voters, pressure them or terrorize them
afterwards. The legal loophole exists and such "marked" ballots are perfectly legal. As such, monitoring
becomes a cosmetic process, like the security checkpoint at the 'Ah! B Zeh'.
